Uluwatu is Bali’s most dramatic temple, with a spectacular location perched some 70 meters on the very tip of a narrow promontory above the crashing waves of the
The temple was reputedly built in the eleventh century, and rebuilt in its present stat in the 16th century. Keep an eye out for naughty monkey. I really suggest you to take a guide for the tour around Uluwatu. It is not because this temple is so big that you need someone to take you here and there but mostly because this guide will also guard you from those monkeys. Uluwatu is located 20 km south of Kuta. Public transport is unreliable so you better to take your own transport or join one of the many tours available.
