Kecak Dance at Kuta beach

Kuta beach undoubtedly is the heaven for many tourists from all over the world. Beside its spectacular sunsets, Kuta also serves as a center of night life activities. You can easily find bar, restaurants, café, disco and many other interesting destinations. In addition, Kuta is also a shopping place with its lines of shops, boutiques and galleries.

Romantic nights in Kuta Beach at night time become apparent when local artists begin to perform traditional arts, like Kecak Dance, Wayang Kulit (Leather Puppet) begin and other dances.

Kecak Dance which sometimes also called as Monkey Dance has a spectacular choreographic work that showcases another aspect of Balinese artistic excellence. One hundred or so bare-chested men sit down on the ground surrounding a bonfire or a fire made from coconut husks, led by a priest or a female dances in the middle. The only music to accompany them are the beats of their palms clapping or hitting their chests, their thighs or other part of their bodies, rhythmically accompany by shouting and chanting.
