Are you looking for a surfer paradise in a tiny and remote place in Bali?

If you drive down to the west along the Jembrana coast you will get to Medewi, a tiny and remote tourist destination in Bali. Situated about 75 kilometers from Denpasar or 34 kilometers west of Tabanan, Medewi is actually one of Bali’s premier surf spots.

This place has become a kind of paradise for surfer from Japan and Australia. They usually come to Medewi for surfing because the rocky beach there is not suitable for sunbathing or swimming.

Medewi is quite far from Kuta and you will find no nightclub or bars atmosphere like those at Kuta.

The best time for surf is early in the morning before the wind picks up, and the biggest waves are usually come in August where most fishermen there don’t dare to go out to the sea.
